Following his engagement with University Management over the Batch D refunds, the President of the Ahmadu Bello University Students’ Representative Council (ABUSRC), Comrade Abdurrahman Halliru Saraki, visited several halls of residence to assess and seek solutions to ongoing water and electricity shortages affecting students.

The visits, part of the President’s official schedule for Monday, June 22, 2026, responded to calls from students for the SRC to engage university stakeholders on these urgent issues. President Saraki inspected Ribado Hall, Danfodio Hall, Dangote Hall, Shehu Idris Hall and other hostels on the Samaru Campus to gather first‑hand accounts and discuss remedial actions with hall officials.
“We are here to engage hall administrators about the water and electricity challenges disrupting life in the hostels. We held in‑depth discussions and will present our resolutions and appeal to University Management. We will follow up to ensure a meaningful improvement in these essential services,” he said.
President Saraki was accompanied on the visits by members of the ABUSRC Welfare and Price Regulations Committee.
